Welcome to Bangkok

I made it.

And it has been crazy and amazing at the same time.

The first few weeks have been a whirlwind of paperwork, exploration, and trying to settle into a completely different rhythm of life. I found the language school, submitted my application, and received approval from the Ministry of Education. The next step is immigration.

The condo has been great, although it feels more like a hotel room than a home. Most days I'm barely there. I'm usually out walking, riding the BTS, exploring new neighborhoods, or simply getting lost in the city. So far, most of my time has been spent in Bangkok's major areas, but I'm slowly starting to venture beyond those familiar spaces. There's no rush. I have time to explore.

What I didn't expect was how much arriving here would force me to rethink Gamefluently.

Back in the US, the plan revolved around gaming. But now that I'm here, I don't have a gaming computer, and that changes things. The challenge isn't that there are no options—it's the opposite. There are too many options.

I could focus entirely on language learning. I could document life in Thailand. I could build gaming content around cloud or mobile games. I could lean into storytelling, travel, or culture. Every path seems possible, which makes it surprisingly difficult to choose one.

For now, I'm trying not to force an answer.

The reason I came here wasn't to create the perfect content strategy. It was to learn Thai, experience a different way of living, and build a new chapter of my life. Maybe Gamefluently doesn't need to be rebuilt all at once. Maybe it evolves the same way I'm exploring Bangkok—one street, one conversation, and one discovery at a time.

For now, that's enough.
